Five former NFL stars will formally enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 8. Drew Brees, Roger Craig, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly and Adam Vinatieri make up a class representing quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, linebackers and special teams.
The enshrinement ceremony begins at noon ET inside Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. ESPN and NFL Network will carry the ceremony live from noon until approximately 2:30 p.m.
The ceremony is the central event in a week that also includes the Hall of Fame Game, the Gold Jacket Dinner, a downtown parade and a concert. More than 100 previously inducted Hall of Famers are expected to return to Canton for the celebration.
When Is the 2026 Enshrinement Ceremony?
The ceremony begins at noon ET on Aug. 8, with the stadium event scheduled from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Each member will be introduced by a selected presenter before the bronze bust is unveiled and the new Hall of Famer delivers a speech.
ESPN and NFL Network will broadcast the ceremony simultaneously. Rich Eisen will host the coverage alongside Louis Riddick and Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner.
Who Is in the Class of 2026?
The class includes four modern-era selections and one senior selection. Brees, Fitzgerald, Kuechly and Vinatieri advanced through the modern-era process, while Craig was elected from the seniors pool.
The five selections bring the Hall of Fame’s total membership to 387. Each player reached Canton through a different kind of excellence, from record-setting passing and receiving to defensive recognition and postseason kicking.
Drew Brees
Brees played 20 NFL seasons with the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints. He retired with 80,358 passing yards and 571 touchdown passes, both of which ranked second in league history at the end of his career.
His New Orleans career included five seasons with at least 5,000 passing yards, 13 Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl XLIV championship. Brees was named the game’s most valuable player after the Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Saints coach Sean Payton will present Brees. Payton coached him for 15 seasons and oversaw the most productive portion of his professional career.
Roger Craig
Craig became the first NFL player to record at least 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in the same season. He accomplished that feat with San Francisco in 1985 and helped redefine how a running back could function inside a passing offense.
He finished his career with 8,189 rushing yards, 4,911 receiving yards and 73 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns. Craig also won three Super Bowls with the 49ers and was the 1988 Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year.
Former Nebraska and San Francisco teammate Jamie Williams will present him. Their relationship began before college and continued through two NFL seasons with the 49ers.
Larry Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald spent all 17 of his NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. His 1,432 receptions and 17,492 receiving yards both ranked second in league history when he retired.
He was selected to 11 Pro Bowls and helped Arizona reach Super Bowl XLIII following the 2008 season. During that postseason, Fitzgerald caught 30 passes for 546 yards and seven touchdowns.
His son, Devin Fitzgerald, will serve as his presenter. Devin will become one of a relatively small group of sons to introduce a parent during an enshrinement ceremony.
Luke Kuechly
Kuechly played eight seasons with the Carolina Panthers and surpassed 100 tackles in every one of them. He was the 2012 Defensive Rookie of the Year and the 2013 Defensive Player of the Year.
His career included nearly 1,100 tackles, 18 interceptions and seven Pro Bowl selections. Kuechly’s ability to diagnose offenses before the snap made him equally important against the run and in pass coverage.
His father, Tom Kuechly, will present him. Tom will become the 12th father to serve as a Hall of Fame presenter.
Adam Vinatieri
Vinatieri played 24 seasons with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. He retired as the NFL’s career leader in points and became closely associated with pressure kicks during championship runs.
His postseason résumé includes four Super Bowl championships. Two of New England’s early championships were decided by Vinatieri field goals in the final seconds, establishing his reputation as one of the most dependable kickers in league history.
Indianapolis Colts co-owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon will present him. She served as a Colts vice president during his Indianapolis career.
What Else Happens During Enshrinement Week?
The Panthers and Cardinals play the Hall of Fame Game at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 6. Fitzgerald and Kuechly will be recognized before a game involving the only NFL teams they represented.
The new members receive their gold jackets during Friday evening’s Gold Jacket Dinner. The Grand Parade begins at 8 a.m. Saturday in downtown Canton, several hours before the enshrinement ceremony.
The weekend concludes Sunday with a Concert for Legends featuring Lainey Wilson and Braxton Keith. That concert begins at 7:30 p.m. inside Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
How to Watch the Ceremony
ESPN and NFL Network will show the ceremony live from noon to approximately 2:30 p.m. ET. Streaming access depends on the viewer’s television package and the authenticated applications offered by the two networks.
Viewers primarily interested in the speeches should expect each player’s segment to include an introduction, bust unveiling and remarks. The exact order of the five speeches may not be finalized until closer to the event.
