Elon Musk is offering more insight into the political vision for his newly formed America Party, signaling that the movement will champion pro-Second Amendment rights, Bitcoin adoption, free speech, and reduced government regulation.
The billionaire tech mogul outlined these positions in a series of posts on X, his social media platform, as he seeks to position the America Party as a disruptive force in U.S. politics.
Musk’s declarations come as his America Party takes early shape in a political environment dominated by Republicans and Democrats — an environment he has criticized as a “one-party system” that wastes taxpayer dollars and stifles freedom.
Pro-Second Amendment
In one notable post, Musk responded directly to a user asking about the party’s position on firearms. “The Second Amendment is sacred,” Musk wrote, making clear that gun rights will be a core pillar of the America Party’s platform.
Musk also responded to questions about the party’s stance on cryptocurrency, indicating support for Bitcoin over traditional fiat currencies.
“Fiat is hopeless, so yes,” Musk said when asked if the party would embrace Bitcoin. His remarks align with his long-standing criticism of centralized monetary systems and his enthusiasm for decentralized technologies.
Free Speech, Tech Advancement, Less Regulation
Musk confirmed that the America Party will advocate for free speech protections, a pro-technology agenda, and deregulation—particularly in the energy sector.
In response to a user who laid out a proposed platform that included debt reduction, responsible spending, modernized military capabilities through AI and robotics, and pro-natalist policies, Musk replied enthusiastically: “Yeah!”
This vision reflects Musk’s broader ideology of accelerating innovation, curbing government overreach, and preserving individual freedoms.
His call for reduced regulations aims to free up industries, particularly energy and tech, to compete globally without unnecessary constraints.
Targeting Congress, with Presidential Moves Possible
While speculation has swirled about whether Musk might back a presidential candidate, the billionaire has clarified that his immediate focus is on reshaping Congress.
“Backing a candidate for president is not out of the question,” Musk wrote, “but the focus for the next 12 months is on the House and the Senate.”
By concentrating on legislative races, Musk appears intent on building influence where major policy decisions are made, aiming to sway the balance of power in Congress and push his America Party platform into national debates.
